The Ideological Defense Institute exists to equip policymakers, churches, and the public to understand and counter the theological and ideological threats facing the West.

Our mission is rooted in the conviction that the freedoms we enjoy, rule of law, individual rights, freedom of speech, and the dignity of every person, flow from the Judeo-Christian tradition. These foundations are under increasing attack, and defending them requires courage, and clarity.

What makes IDI distinctive is our people. Our experts are former Muslims, Arab Christians and Western thought leaders, with both first-hand experience and academic expertise. They speak with authority about the ideologies we confront, and they do so without the filter of political correctness.
